    Hallo

    I plan to set up 3 level monitoring with icinga2 master satellites and clients

    it seems complicated to write all endpoint and zone configurations by hand for all clients and can icinga director(or some other script maybe like "icinga2 node update-config" command which is deprecated) generate zones and endpoints configurations automatically for clients

    question is about what I have to do after install icinga2 client package on the satellite(client) for automate discovery of the client host on the master

    can you advice or give some guide link

    thank you

    HI guys I have some problem when I am using centreon_plugins.pl plugin for checking cisco devices traffics, here is example the command which I use:

    centreon_plugins.pl --plugin=network::cisco::standard::snmp::plugin --mode=interfaces --host=ip.address --snmp-version=2 --interface --name --add-traffic --nagvis-perfdata --snmp-community "somesecretword"

    everything works fine almost on all devices, but when I am checking cisco 7609 type devices it works and retrieves data but with some confusing warning, here is output of plugin's warning:

    here is version:

    centreon_plugins.pl --version
    Global Version: 20161212

    can I somehow hide this warning? any idea?

    thank you :)

    solved thank you all very much for help

    sru you where right "Well - somewhere it is defined" yes there was defined services in conf.d directory which was included by configuration file /etc/icinga2/icinga2.conf

    I commented the line and ping check disappeared I'll define ping service separately if needed in future.

    /**
    * Although in theory you could define all your objects in this file
    * the preferred way is to create separate directories and files in the conf.d
    * directory. Each of these files must have the file extension ".conf".
    */
    //include_recursive "conf.d"

    thank you for help

    yes I am not happy that anything is checked by the Master

    P.S. I have no separate service configuration for ping checks, what I am doing is that I add host which has this configuration:

    object Host "host" {
    import "satelite-template"

    display_name = "host"
    address = "some.IP"
    groups = [ "routers" ]
    }

    satelite-template configuration is:

    emplate Host "satelite-template" {
    check_command = "hostalive"
    max_check_attempts = "3"
    check_interval = 2m
    retry_interval = 1m
    command_endpoint = "icinga-satelite"
    }

    HI

    I have configured distributed monitoring with icinga2 icingaweb2 icinga-director, I have master and satellite, master node I am using for web interface, icinga-director, and for nagvis. satellite node is for sending check commands to network devices, everything works fine but I have little problem which I cant solve, here is a template of configuration when I add device for monitoring:

    template Host "satelite-template" {
    check_command = "hostalive"
    max_check_attempts = "3"
    check_interval = 2m
    retry_interval = 1m
    command_endpoint = "icinga-satelite"
    }

    problem is that when I add device master node tries to check hostalive anyway and because master has no route to device it alarms with critical, I want that check-source to be only satellite nodes, how to restrict master send ping to devices?

    here are links of screenshots where I described my problem in more details

    thank you beforehand if you help me with any ideas

    Hello I want to configure service in the icinga director which will run command checks on satellite mode this is preview of template:

    what I can't understand is that setting Cluster Zone does not changes anything at all, preview is the same, I can't set "command_endpoint = host_name " and when I add apply rule it gives me error

    it is javascript error I think you have to inspect it with your internet browser manualy like this:

    press ctrl+shift+j on the page where the error ocures I have the problem something like this and I will show screenshot:

    actually I found solution of "javascript Uncaught ReferenceError" on the worldmap

    I edited 2 js files which Wolfgang said in this thread before: default.header.js and NagVisCompressed.js

    in default.header.js there was function like this

    after edit:

    in the NagVisCompressed.js.sav before:

    Quote

    g_map.on('mousedown', checkHideMenu);

    after:

    Quote

    g_map.on('mousedown', window.checkHideMenu);

    there is no Uncaught ReferenceError now :)

    Wolfgang thank you very much for help

    because I need the Nagvis not only for testing purposes also for production uses, I decide not to use 1.9 beta version, I reverted my icinga2 server to the condition where there is no nagvis installed and then installed fresh 1.8 latest stable version

    in the 1.8 version I have no javascript errors, so I'll check this thread as solved, but if someone will post here some useful link of doc or blog about how to work with maps I will be very thankful

    renamed but new error appear

    here is my default.header.js part of checkHideMenu function

    for test I commented and deleted checkHideMenu function like this:

    but error has not gone

    Wolfgang thank you very much for help

    I did some changes, what I did is that I deleted everithing and created new map with name "demo-overview" and gave the configuration which I wanted and conf looks like this:

    now the error about demo-overview.cfg disappeared but I still have the javascript error:

    If the file doesn't exist the message will reappear. As I showed the tarball contains several demo*cfg files so I still wonder why they are missing on your System.

    I have deleted demo maps from Manage Maps section of nagvis web interface, is it necessary to have demo maps? is it wrong to delete them? if so why I ned them?

    I deleted everything in the var/ directory but nothing changed error is same "The path "/usr/local/nagvis/etc/maps/demo-overview.cfg" does not exist."

    I even commented public section demo-overview in the File: /usr/local/nagvis/share/server/core/classes/GlobalCore.php

    public $demoMaps = Array(
    'demo-germany',
    'demo-ham-racks',
    'demo-load',
    'demo-muc-srv1',
    // 'demo-overview',
    'demo-geomap',
    'demo-automap',
    );
