  • Hello, in my thruk_local.conf file I am setting "thruk_group=mygroupid", expecting that any files that are modified/updated by thruk would be grouped to that id. Yet the global_user_data file and all lib/users/* and lib/broadcast/* files are always set to group ownership apache (rather than "mygroupid") when changes are made. The "mygroupid" is a valid group so I'm not sure what is going on. Am I missing something obvious?

  • Is the apache user in that group? Otherwise thruk cannot change the group. Thruk does not run with root permissions and therefor can only use groups which the apache user actually belongs to.

Of course, makes perfect sense. I figured I was missing something fairly obvious... Thanks so much for your time!!
