  • Hello Forum,

I like the ease of use with which OMD allows me to install and use check_mk. If all I use is check_mk do I need to have a sql backend database?

My interest is due to wanting to install OMD on a raspberry Pi but I don't want to kill my SD card so I'm thinking by not having a database I'll reduce the writes to my card.

I've read that OMD can be installed on the Pi but those instructions still used a MySQL backend. I'm hoping using OMD with just flat files and no database will work better for me.

I'm hoping this community can give me direction on how I can setup OMD that will work best for my needs.

    Thank you.
