  • Hello All,

I wanted to share the following playbook that I use for generating the Icinga2 Client certificates on my nodes

You need to install ansible on a node and generate your hosts file

    Code
    1. [monitoring-servers]
    2. icinga.example.com
    3. [agents]
    4. agent.example.com

The playbook can the be run as follows

    Code
    1. ansible-playbook /etc/ansible/playbooks/icinga2_generate_certs.yml -e hostitem=agent.example.com
  • Hello claudekenni,

thanks for this post, I used the PKI part from your playbook in my Ansible playbook that deploys Icinga2 to my VMs.

    Regards,

    Volker
