No Availablibilty Reports with Thruk 2.20 and external Icinga2 2.5.3

Hi,

Thruk 2.20 connects to an external Icinga2 2.5.3 instance through this setup:

<peer>
    name   = External Icinga2
    type   = livestatus
    <options>
        peer    = 10.0.1.42:6557
   </options>
</peer>

Thruk and Icinga2 are on seperate machines and the connection via livestatus is working. I can see all host and service information.
What I cannot see are Availablibilty Reports. The column “% Time Undetermined” is always at 100.000%

Is there a trick to it, or is it simply not supported when set up with an external Icinga2 instance?

You should update Icinga2, afaik they fixed something regarding logfiles. If that doesn’t help, see
https://www.thruk.org/documentation/logfile-cache.html#icinga-2
for possible workarounds.

Thanks for the tip.
Since the Icinga2 instance is managed by someone else, direct access to the logs is no option.
I’ll see if they can update to the latest version and let you know if this resolved the issue.
