    Try to delete your DVD drive in the device manager, re-run the cmk agent check/inventory and then add the drive again.

    cmk -II removes all existing checks before doing the inventory. Only those checks are affected that are being inventorized.
    cmk -i will scan the host for new HW and SW thats what I undertand.
