    Oh sorry I understand. No I assign the services in services.conf. Examples below.

    apply Service "% CPU Load" {
    import "generic-service"
    check_command = "nscp"
    vars.nscp_password = "password"
    vars.nscp_variable = "CPULOAD"
    vars.nscp_params = "5,85,95"

    Thanks for your reply. It is object based. I used the code that was suggested earlier:
    1. object ServiceGroup "Web-Services" {
    2. display_name = "Web Services"
    3. assign where match("*W3SVC*", service.name)
    4. }
    Then I restart the icinga2 services. It restarts…

    Not sure what I am missing but even when I use your exact entries in groups.conf, I don't get an error and the icinga2 service restarts ok but nothing shows up in servicegroups in the web console.

    Thanks for your reply.

    When I use:

    object HostGroup "Web-Servers" {
    display_name = "Web Servers"
    assign where service.name == "W3SVC"
    }

    or

    object HostGroup "Web-Servers" {
    display_name = "Web Servers"

    assign where match("*W3SVC*",

    Hi All
    I am creating some host groups and I wanted to create one for www servers based on whether or not the W3SVC service is present. I thought the config below would work based on what I read but it isn't. Could anyone please point out what I seem to…

    Dnsmichi. I have to say thanks so much for that information. It is much clearer to me now. Thanks again. I now have even more of an incentive to press forward with Icinga and gradually phase Nagios out. Thanks again.

    May I ask, is it ok using nrpe in Icinga? would the same insecurities in the protocol apply here or would the fact that I am using the icinga client which uses a secure ticket mitigate that? I am asking because I am sure I can get this going if I use…

    Hi All
    I wanted to know if what I am trying to do here with NSCP is possible. I don't want to use NRPE. I want to get an alert when a server is rebooted. My config below is this

    apply Service "Uptime" {
    import "generic-service"
    check_command = "nscp"

    Sigh. Perhaps I need to try this on linux and compare the config files then as I am fresh out of ideas. Anyone else have any ideas on why I could be getting a 404 error?

    HI All
    Thanks so much for all the help. I installed everything from ports (source). I log into the Icinga web interface as admin. I installed the modules as admin so admin should have access. I checked my roles.ini file as napbas suggested and I am…

    I am using grafana4-4.5.1. I had logged in to http://Server_ip:3000 and as the documentation suggests, I had imported the icinga2-default dashboard. Please see the screenshot below from grafana on the server.

    Let me send a screenshot as that should be a bit clearer. Y'know, if I can get this working I am going to volunteer to do some Docs for the community. I do documentation for my company. I am finding that although the icinga docs are quite good, in some…

    Thanks for that. I installed phantomjs and copied the binary to that location. That error is gone but now I am getting another one. Not sure where the dashboard-solo is coming from. I checked grafana.conf but not seeing anything related to…

    Yes I had restarted grafana. Same thing. Which logs would shed some light on this? I was looking through grafana logs but nothing sticks out. I am only seeing one error in there. It doesn't look related.

    Ok thanks. I have been trying different configurations that way. When I use proxy with creds seen in the screenshot below, I get those errors I mentioned earlier. The First parameter must either be an object or the name of an existing class errors. But…

    Ok. Thanks for that tip. I have been looking it up but so far, am not sure what the settings would be to provide the credentials in config.ini. Could you give me an example please?

    So far I have tried these below in config.ini but still didn't work.

    Just a little update. I was reading another thread and changed accessmode = "proxy" to accessmode = "direct". Now those errors are gone but I now get a blank area where the graph should be. I am using module version 1.1.10 by the way.

    The problem came up after I installed Grafana and InfluxDB. The web console is quite fine except when I click on a service/host. I am on FreeBSD. Below is my config.ini in /usr/local/etc/icingaweb2/modules/grafana. I am not seeing a graph.ini file at…
