If I understand you correctly what you would need is a master-satellite setup.
The master monitors your productive environment, the satellite monitors your development env.

Master and satellite the communicate over port tcp/5666 with a secured…

seems like your master-satellite conncetion is not working.
Did you run the icinga2 node wizard on the master and set up a master (first question "NO")?
And on the satellite you set up a satellite and connected it correctly to the master (master fqdn,…

If no one asked for this yet (I just did a quick check and couldn't find it) why not ask for it yourself via github?

No, on both your master zones.conf and your satellite zone.conf.
After this restart icinga2 on both and deploy your config via director again.

I think you will need to define more "generic" service/host templates if you want different check execution options.
    I use a generic-service-1m template for services with a 1min interval, a generic-service-15min for 15min for example

    The only…

If I see this correctly you are missing a global zone in your zones.conf on both master and satellite
    (Code, 3 lines)

Do you have any folders/files under /var/lib/icinga2/api/zones on your satellite?
  • You could try something like the the documentation suggests on dependencies for agent based checks.
Just switch the names for the parent service and alter the assign where to match your check command for the services.

    Glad I could help :)

Play around some more and you'll get the hang of it ;) Maybe look at some tutorials (unixe and nausch have some good ones!)

Don't forget to mark the thread as resolved, if your problem is solved:)

Now I see the problem :)
The check command is configured correctly but you made a mistake when setting up your data fields. Which you did manually, right?

If you define a data field you must not add the $ signs!
So your data field "DruckerArgument" needs…

Are the variables $community$ and $DruckerArgument$ filled by your host or service template?

When you set the whole command line you are using the explicit values (status, public) for those variables, that's why it works.
    $address$ autoamtically gets…

    Hey Goku ;),

are you using the "real" v1.3.1 of the Director? Or did you clone/pull the current Director master from git?
I'm asking because I don't have this problem with v1.3.1 neither v1.3.2 in my testing environment and you seem to have a different…

    Hi Alex,

if you click on the deployment itself you should get a deployment details page. The log excerpt in there will pretty much exactly tell you what Icinga2 does not like about your config :).
    See screenshot for an example:
